A DogWish Success Story
DogWish Seizure Service Dogs Transform Lives
Randy & Jasmine

Randy and his brother John came to me for a Seizure Service Dog some 7 years ago. At the time we were doing intense research into the creation of Seizures, so I had them move into my home. Both of the young men had grown up having grand maul seizures...
I had placed a Service Dog with him a month before, and in that short period of time the dog had knocked a door down to get to him while having a seizure, and jumped through a double pained glass window to save him from drowning when he fell into a horse trough while having a seizure as he was cleaning a horse stable.
During the time that Randy and John worked for me they had numerous episodes of seizure attacks, and along with my other employees I became well acquainted with how to work with people having seizures. You would never know if Randy and John were going to have a seizure, accept to watch Jasmine. We all learned to pay attention to Jasmine and listen to her...
When Randy came to me the doctors were wanting to remove part of his disabled brain, in hopes of slowing his severe seizures down, and yet, Lucky for Randy, with Jasmine's care, he never needed anything else. ...

DogWish Seizure Avoidance & Detection Service Dogs
DogWish Trains Pre-Alert Seizure Detection Service Dogs
DogWish trains dogs for people who have seizures to alert ahead of the occurrence, and warn the handler and others to the future potential of a seizure.
As a National Champion and World Champion Competitor, years ago I learned how to train Police K9s to detect substances, and actual criminals, using the Science of Police K-9 Detection. I trained dogs to find and follow specific scent trails, differentiate the specific scent I desired from all other scents, and track that scent for great distances to its’ origin. In the early 2000s I used that knowledge to train dogs for Search and Rescue, to find children with developmental disabilities that had “eloped”, (escaped from their homes or families), quickly and effectively. I combined this training with a new type of detection, based on my knowledge of Police K9 training, and taught my dogs to become sensitive to the electro-magnetic energies produced by the brain that it would project out. In doing so my dogs could detect the presence of a criminal before they had the opportunity to commit their crime. I sued these dogs in public businesses to alert to the presence of criminals as they entered the business and saved the owners thousands of dollars in theft.
Combining these sciences, I was able to produce dogs that would detect the presence of lost people by their smell AND their energies. Using my dogs and training, Doctor David Kelso of the American Red Cross was able to use my dogs to find:
- People stranded miles from town in 6 to 8 foot of snow, lost and freezing, and save them before they were damaged. No other trained search dog was able to even locate their track.
- One person from a mental facility lost in a large hospital complex. The Police had searched for 8 hours before calling Dr. Kelso, and couldn’t find the man. Dr. Kelso’s dog found him within minutes.
- 4 Children kidnapped from different parts of America, in a house, on a side street, just by walking down that street. The children were in a city Dr. Kelso had just arrived in to see his father, and was just taking the dogs’ for a walk when this happened, and the dogs alerted to the energies of these disturbed children in a private residence.
DogWish trains K9s specifically to detect and alert to abnormal brainwave and body function activity up to 6 six hours before an actual seizure experience. This gives the recipient time to seek medical attention, and potentially resolve the situation before it occurs.
- Many of our clients actually claim that the amount and severity of their problems have greatly diminished and in some cases resolved, since receiving and handling our K9s.
- They have been able to cut down and stop using many of the medications that have produced problems with them at the same time.
This originally occurred as the result of training dogs for clients stricken with autistic developmental disabilities, through the training process where we trained the dogs to focus up to 90% and be sensitive to the actual needs of each handler. We started receiving reports detailing the affect that our K9s were having on them, especially in the area dealing with their uncontrollable emotional outbursts, meltdowns, and seizures. Since the K9s I was placing were having this affect on their handlers, I seriously investigated each situation to find out what exactly was happening, and what we were doing through our training that caused this phenomenon, and found some specific details that were consistent throughout.
Having been involved in the study of canine behavior for some thirty years now with both domestic and wild dogs, locally, nationally, and internationally, I have been able to comprehend and inductively compile an understanding of how the canine brain receives, processes and responds to life experiences in our known world.
I have also researched, compiled, and compared the continuing studies from International Universities, Institutes, and Research Centers from a biological, physiological, neurological, and psychological perspective, as they strive to find answers to the numerous disabilities related to brain and body functioning such as Autism, Epilepsy, and Cerebral Palsy. We have compared the information and findings from these many sources with the answers we have found from our own studies, conducted with the many dogs we are constantly training for people with disabilities.
How do you train a dog to detect when somebody is going to have a seizure? This is a question that has captured the world's attention. The answer lies in the neurological understanding of what happens when people have seizures, and how they develop a seizure like condition.
I have formulated our dog training to be therapeutic and healing. It is done in such a way as to capture, focus, and control the attention of the conscious mind of both the K9 and its handler, and at the same time program and coordinate their emotions and thought patterns, teaching them simultaneously to relax and intensify, under control. Through the conditioning experience, what the client actually learns is how to work with and control their own mentality and body functioning. Our K9s can actually:
- Smell the difference between normal and abnormal body smells
- Feel the abnormal electro-magnetic energy changes as the brain begins to send abnormal signals which the body projects,
- See the difference between normal and abnormal muscular-neural movement,
- Hear the difference in normal and abnormal body functions (breathing, vocal, etc.),
- and respond with understanding and instant clarity to what is happening with the afflicted person.
To confirm our findings we contacted field experts like the late Doctor David Kelso, a leading Medical Administrator, and the Vice President of the American Red Cross, to confirm our findings. After explaining how we able to train our K9s, Dr Kelso flew out and spent a week training seizure dogs with us. As a result Dr. Kelso claimed that our dogs were “brainwave sensitive”, confirmed our findings, and began using them in his University lectures.
In 2005 and 2006 along with the K9s I trained for other seizure afflicted persons, I found two young men who were beset with severe seizures, trained a dog for them, and then had them live with me. These two men would have severe seizures two or three times a week before they came to live with me, and one of them almost died this past year from the results. Their situation was very serious. By daily teaching them how to handle seizure K9s properly, and to work with them on a daily basis; how to eat correctly, breathe correctly, and think correctly, we were able to reduce the amount and severity of their seizures about 95%. During the process we were able to actually detect those behaviors leading up to potential seizures with the help of our K9s, up to some hours before each potential occurrence, and as a result either stop or control each occurrence with great success. As a result, each of these young men returned to their families and is now enjoying normal lives. I have repeated this example many times.
